How do I navigate presentation panels?

This conference will take place entirely via Zoom. All Zoom links to conference events and presentation panels are provided in the conference schedule, available via our "Schedule" page. To visit a presentation panel or conference event, scan the Schedule page, identify the item you wish to explore, and click on the Zoom link for that event. A tentative program schedule will be available March 9. If you are having difficulties navigating the panels during the conference, please visit our Virtual Lobby to ask for assistance.

I am serving as a Panel Chair. What does this role entail?

Panel Chairs serve an important role as moderators of each panel. Please see our attached guidelines for panel chairs.

Conferences may also feel overwhelming even for seasoned presenters. To help answer any other questions you may have, we also invite you to attend our pre-conference event: Style Us: Conference Conventions and Etiquette, April 2, 12:00-1:00pm EDT. This workshop will review conventions, etiquette, and tips for presenters and attendees of humanities conferences. Please register in advance here.

How do I enter the Crossroads Digital Humanities Contest?

Digital technologies have become embedded in nearly all aspects of daily life, and they have become integral to the preservation, analysis, and communication of information in scholarship and public discourse. This contest encourages students to develop the academic and professional skills necessary to navigate and participate as active contributors in modern day networks of information and digital literacies.

To enter the Crossroads DH Contest, you must be an accepted participant presenting at the 3rd Annual Crossroads Humanities Student Conference. Visit our DH Contest page for more information.

This is my first time presenting at and/or attending a conference. Now what?

Presenting at and attending conferences is a superb way to professionalize, gain perspective on your research with peers, and network. There are many ways to be involved during conferences, and many researchers enjoy conferences as a chance to visit with each other and expand our horizons. Most of all, conferences are events of opportunity!
